Pāṉini Language Laboratory
The Pāṉini Language Laboratory was donated by the Government of India in the context of the 11th World Hindi Conference. It was inaugurated on Sunday 19th August 2018 by her Excellency Shrimati Sushma Swaraj, Minister of External Affairs, India in the presence of Shrimati Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun, Minister of Education and Human Resources, Tertiary Education and Scientific Research, Mauritius. It constitutes of 34 student booths, one teacher console and one small sound booth which have each Computers set, Headset, Webcam, and a Learning Management Software including Hindi and English content installed. This Language Laboratory has opened new avenues and arenas for further development of Indian languages in Mauritius by the development of new pedagogical tools. The use of the laboratory will enable learners to improve their language proficiency and produce Tech-savvy language learners.
