Gandhi Day

Mahatma Gandhi always said that education, without service to mankind, is incomplete. We want to make our students realise this.
Mahatma Gandhi always said that education, without service to mankind, is incomplete. We want to make our students realize this. Hence, since its foundation, MGSS Solferino has organised Gandhi Day with great fervor. On the occasion, the school organizes a lunch for the elderly of the locality, grandparents of the pupils, and inmates from charitable institutions. The philosophy behind the lunch is to train the students to cater to the elderly people and the less fortunate ones.
However, October 2 is not the only time of the year when the students are taught human values, nor is it the only time that they do service to mankind. Since we are under the aegis of the MGI/RTI, the philosophy, teachings, and education of Mahatma Gandhi and Rabindranath Tagore form an integral part of our curriculum. Several times during the year, our students visit homes and ashrams to serve the elderly.
