The actions that are being envisaged would address both the intangible and tangible aspects of this heritage as the RTI proposes to:-
- Carry out an inventory on the existing and endangered crafts of Mauritius in the first instance and in Rodrigues and Agalega in the second instance. The inventory would be carried out through a public call inviting craftspersons, craft organizations, heritage professionals, funding bodies and members of the public. - Launch a photography competition so as to compile information on the crafts and their related craftsmanship. The corpus of photos, testimonies, crafts etc… would be curated to create a concept space where visitors can discover and study those crafts.
